Players do nothing more than take turns taking shots at one another until one team is left standing with at least one member alive. The premise of the game is as simple as it has always been: players will control individual teams of multiple Worms and use various weapons and tools to eliminate their opponents which are spread across a destructible map.
#Worms reloaded campaign 30 series
The charm of Worms Reloaded, and the series in general, lies in its simplicity. Reloaded includes all of the content included in the original Armageddon XBLA release with the additional content that was released on the Microsoft Marketplace as well as many completely new and original features that have never been seen before. The new game, available exclusively (currently) through Valve’s Steam service is a beefed up version of Worms 2: Armageddon for the Xbox Live Arcade.
#Worms reloaded campaign 30 Pc
It seemed as if Team 17 had finally managed to rekindle the original magic of the Worms’ series and the popularity started to grow once more.Īll of those events led us to 2010 and Worms Reloaded for the PC (and in development for MacOS). The XBLA release was quickly regarded as the best iteration of the series in years and heralded for its return to the 2D style of the origjnal. The series bounced around from publisher to publisher over the years, until finally landing back at home with Team 17 for the 2007 Xbox Live Arcade release of Worms 2: Armageddon. In an attempt to reinvigorate the series, the developers attempted to move the series into the third dimension with 2003’s Worms 3D needless to say the reception was nowhere near as great as the original. In short, many felt that the series was growing stale and that the game releases were simply minor updates to previous installments and not worthy of entirely new releases. Although the series was critically acclaimed early on during the mid- to late 1990’s, concerns regarding the lack of meaningful additions and changes to subsequent versions grew with every release. In recent years though, the popularity of the Worms’ games has dwindled, almost to the point of obscurity. The series has been around for 15 years now and has hit almost every console imaginable. Levels can now also easily be made more vertical, for those who aren't afraid of some steep heights. When it comes to the Worms’ series, you either love them or you don’t rarely have I seen a middle ground when discussing the series with other gamers.
#Worms reloaded campaign 30 skin
A simple drawing program allows the player to draw his own levels and simply apply a skin and automatically fill it up with hazards and worms, or carefully determine the exact position of everything manually. All soundbanks of earlier Worms games are included with the addition of 20 new ones. Worms are fully customizable, including colour, hat, gravestone, victory dance, names, fort (for the fort game mode) and soundbank. There's also a selection of achievements which can be unlocked as is usual with games released on Steam. Players can control up to four worms per team with up to four teams per match. Using Steamworks the game has an automatic match making system and online matches are ranked in the global and friends leader boards. Finishing levels earns money which can be used to buy these new levels, new weapons, themes, hats, etc. The game features an all new single player campaign with 35 levels, an advanced campaign with 30 levels and an additional 5 unlockable levels.

There are also various hazards present on the terrain such as the familiar mines and oil barrels (that put the terrain on fire), but also new hazards such as sentry guns. Worms can't swim so when they are thrown in the water by an explosion it's an instant kill. The terrain is fully destructible and surrounded by water. Player's can lob grenades, fire rocket launchers, drop mines, fire guns or use many of the wacky fictional weapons such as Monty Python's holy hand grenade or exploding sheep. Using a variety of weapons players attack each other in what is essentially a more complex version of the classic Artillery. In either single player or multi player two to four teams of up to four worms per team duke it out in turn-based combat. The game's core game play is still identical, but many new features have been added or upgraded since previous releases.

Not an American user? Description Worms Reloaded is the first traditional 2D entry in the Worms series for the PC since Worms World Party and incorporates some of the new ideas in the versions since released on the Nintendo DS and Xbox 360.
